KH, or carbonate hardness, measures water's ability to buffer pH fluctuations. When it is too low, often after heavy rain or in areas with soft water, the pH can vary significantly between day and night, stressing the fish and disrupting filter bacteria.
The collection offers Aquatic Science's IchiPond KH+ in 1, 5, and 15 kg sizes, Optiminera 10000 and 20000, which increase and stabilize hardness levels, KH+ minerals from 1 to 15 kg, as well as the Sera KH drop test to measure before and after treatment.
Measure the KH first, then dose according to the pond volume and the target value, in several applications rather than all at once. Check again after a few days.
