Filter foams trap suspended particles and serve as a substrate for the bacteria that break down fish waste. Over time, they become compacted and lose their effectiveness, at which point they must be replaced.
The collection offers original Oase foams for BioTec (5, 10, 30, 18/36) and BioSmart (18000, 24000, 36000) filters, in different colors depending on their porosity, as well as cartridges for the BioTec Premium 80000, foams for the Pontec Pondclear 4000, and a 50 x 50 x 2 cm coarse-mesh blue Aquitechnics foam that can be cut to size.
To choose, identify the exact model of your filter and the position of the foam (coarse, medium, or fine porosity). Rinse the foams in pond water rather than tap water to preserve the bacteria.
