Galaxy floating orbs are stainless steel spheres that drift on the surface of the pond, reflecting the sky and surrounding vegetation. They are offered by Boltze and Aquigarden in four diameters: 13, 18, 27, and 35 cm.
The choice of diameter depends primarily on the open water surface: a few small orbs grouped together are suitable for a patio pond, while a larger pond can accommodate 27 or 35 cm models. Their movement and reflections are also used as a deterrent against herons, in addition to other protections such as netting or a bank fence.
The stainless steel only requires occasional cleaning with clear water to remove deposits and limescale.
